During this two day workshop you will use a number of different techniques to produce this dramatic, quilted wall hanging approximately 26″ x 26″ (66cm x 66cm)’.

During this workshop you will make a lovely lacy scarf similar to the one in the image. No two are ever the same. Once you have learned this technique, you’ll find it very useful in a number of situations.

This is always a very popular workshop, back by request. During this workshop you will make your own design (it’s not at all scary, even if you think you can’t draw!!!). You will transfer it to an applique fabric and bondaweb it onto a background fabric. It really is fun.

If you have done a machine quilting workshop with me before, this one is very different. You will be using dissolving thread and an extra layer of wadding to give the same effect as trapunto. During the first session you will transfer the design, stitch and trim the trapunto areas. You have a week between workshops, if necessary, to complete this stage. During the second session, you will layer and machine quilt your piece.

 

Appropriate for all ability levels, but you will need a sewing machine with a feed-dog which drops – and please make sure you know your machine before the workshop.

During this workshop you will learn three methods for adding lettering to quilts and textiles.
